Lowland Credit Union HQ

project type: commercial

location: morristown, tn

size: 9,000 sf

year complete: 2019

As the only locally owned and longest continuously operating financial institution in Morristown, Lowland Credit Union wanted to convey a technology-driven approach in their new headquarters. Because their existing building was not fit for renovation, the decision was made to build a new facility that would serve as headquarters and include offices that serve as remotely operated drive through tellers serving most of the bank branches.

With the help of Studio Four Design, the new building was designed with a visually appealing, contemporary exterior. The incorporation of carefully placed wood walls on the interior lend a warmth to the space, while large windows welcome natural light into the facility. An open, inviting lobby, second story lounge, and private offices with a “treehouse” view create an environment that is enjoyed by clients and staff alike. The incorporation of modern elements and the latest technology is complemented with a full-wall poster representative of the long-standing operation and history of the credit union.

President and CEO, Mark Creech remarked, “The collaboration between Studio Four design, Burke-Ailey Construction (the general contractor), and the credit union was a great partnership that yielded a state-of-the-art facility that will take Lowland Credit well into the future.” With the modernized, high-end space completed, Lowland Credit Union continues to provide a quality workspace for employees and an attractive destination for customers to enjoy for years to come.
