mother and daughter on vacatioin

meet Carissa.

Carissa, Architectural Designer at Studio Four Design earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee in 2018. She chose the field of Architecture and Design because she wanted to positively inspire the human experience while being immersed in good building design. “My favorite part of the planning and design process is studying how the redesign or new project can improve a specific problem or seeing the results of a thoroughly thought-out concept that best suits the context and the human experience,” Carissa said. She loves the far-reaching implications of a good design and seeing her work positively impact the lives of others.

When asked what her favorite thing is about working at Studio Four Design, Carissa stated, “It has been an enriching timeline to work with a multitude of people and gain knowledge from all levels and areas in our design processes. More than anything else, I enjoy the support of our team members, personally and professionally.”

Outside of her professional focus, Carissa enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, playing musical instruments including the piano and violin, home DIY projects, and traveling locally or abroad. She loves to explore any destination that has a well thought out Urban Planning design that she can enjoy on foot. If she’s looking for a more relaxing vacation spot, you’ll likely find her along the coast “where the waves hit the sand.”
