RIO Revolution Church
- Location
- Maryville, Tennessee
Key Objective
RIO Revolution in Blount County, TN began with a simple goal: to help people connect with God in order to reach their full potential. With a launch team of 39 people, they committed to transforming their dream into reality and their first service was held at Heritage High School in Maryville, TN.
From the beginning, RIO focused on reaching the hopeless and hurting through outreach and missions. They planted 10 churches their first year, suppressing the need to build their own facility. However, growth in attendance opened the door for the church to design their current campus in Maryville.
With a capacity of just over 1,100 people, the design of the facility was focused on flexibility and allows RIO to host numerous conferences, meetings, events and activities that focus on helping people within their community and congregation. To allow them to further engage the community with on campus activities and events, they added an education wing along with a pavilion, athletic fields and walking trail.
The growth resulting from these new facilities has allowed RIO to host multiple weekend campus services, provide live streaming to an internet campus, and to launch a new satellite campus in a neighboring community. Revolution Church has become a wonderful place for Christ followers to connect, grow and serve.
