35 North

Studio Four Design was commissioned by a group of Knoxville visionaries to bring their challenging concept to life on a difficult site with a host of building code and municipal zoning related challenges. 35 North is an approximately 10,000 sf restaurant serviced not by a traditional kitchen but instead by a rotating food truck selection housed in a truck coral to satisfy local safety and visual concerns. The tight site and challenging topography created a stepped building with an iconic rotunda entry and bar space.

The restaurant was branded with a sports related theme that is emphasized by a scoreboard representative video wall hung over a circular bar. The stepped building interior created an opportunity for a variety of different dinning rooms each with its own adaptable use typology. An outdoor dinning plaza with stage, fireplace and activity space ties the whole establishment together promoting the spirit of the venue as patrons enter the facility.
